A MAN arrested with 200 kilos of stolen red peppers in his car boot has been identified as the same person who stole three tonnes of grapes weeks earlier.
Police probing the missing veg identified the Spanish suspect, known as JNF, as the man behind a grape theft in July.
The Dos Hermanas resident is accused of taking the fresh produce from a farm in Sevilla on August 5.
Cops later cuffed him in the nearby town of Los Palacios y Villafranca following a traffic stop.
Dozens of peppers tumbled out of the vehicle – believed to be a Citroen Picasso – when officers opened the boot.
Members of the Guardia Civil’s Roca team – which specialises in agricultural crime – were notified after the farm owner spotted JNF on his land.
