WATCH: 13-year-old girl suffers ‘serious’ head injury as fair ride accident leaves 28 injured in Seville

THE City of San José de la Rinconada (Seville) has closed its fairground after 28 people were injured on one of its rides.

A 13-year-old girl has been hospitalised with ‘serious’ head injuries.

Eight others still remain in intensive care, suffering contusions and fractures, although their situation is stable.

The accident occurred in an attraction known as la olla (the wave), when the circular spinning attraction split in two.

Those seated on a bench around the perimetre of the ride were ‘thrown into the air’, meanwhile eye-witness videos show the remaining rider goers shouting in terror as the attraction continued to spin.

Emergency services were called at 1:50am on Saturday morning.
