French woman dies after falling from a cliff while picking a flower on the Costa Blanca

TRAGEDY: The cliffs of Les Rotes, in Denia

A WOMAN has died after losing her balance while picking a flower on the cliffs of Les Rotes, near Denia.

The 67-year-old, of French nationality, fell four metres from the cliff top while out walking with her husband.

Emergency services were called to the scene but were unable to save the woman, who lived in Pego.

The accident happened at 5.30pm last Sunday.
