Huge traffic jams after truck overturns on Spain’s Costa del Sol

A HUGE truck has overturned on the A-7 this afternoon. 

The crash happened at 1.30pm in the Cala de Mijas area at kilometre 201, heading towards Marbella.

The truck, which was driving towards Cádiz, lost control and overturned, destroying the central barrier and sliding into the opposite lane.

Emergency paramedics have been attending to the driver while firefighters work to remove him from the vehicle.

Guardia Civil are also on the scene.

Traffic is cut off completely in the direction of Malaga.

There is 4km of traffic towards Cadiz although one lane has been opened up.

Travellers have been advised to take the toll roads.
