A DEAD sheep has washed up on Eastern Beach in Gibraltar on Thursday morning.
The Department of the Environment are looking into the matter and a veterinarian has been consulted.
A post mortem was not carried out on the dead animal that was in a state of decomposition.
Theories put forward as to how the sheep died include it falling off a boat and that it could have been washed out to sea, down a river.
As of yet is still not known how the sheep died.
