WATCH: British man arrested in Spain as police seize 2,500 banned ‘Viagra pills’

HAUL: The Viagra seized by police as a British man was arrested

A BRITISH man has been arrested and 30 others investigated as police in Mallorca bust a huge dodgy ‘Viagra’ supply chain.

Guardia Civil agents seized 2,500 doses of prohibited sexual enhancement drugs following a raid of 50 establishments on the Balearic island.

Those involved are accused of ‘crimes against public health’ after police seized 15 toilet vending machines used to sell the sexual performance enhancer.

PILLS: Sexual performance enhancers taken by the Guardia Civil

The drug haul was seized as part of Operation Foxtier and focused on the towns of Calvia and Palmanova, near British party hotspot Magaluf.

Pills seized by police are a natural substitute for Viagra, labelled with exciting names, like ‘Boner Gold’ and ‘Maxx Blue’ that police video shows were to be sold for €5 a pill.

On the packet of ‘Maxx Blue’ in police footage, ‘Wolfberry extract’ (also known as Goji berry) can be seen listed as one of the ingredients.

Maxx Blue is classed as a food supplement however, and is a legal product.

The substances seized by police are under investigation to see if they are banned by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS).

The drugs contain the same active ingredient as Viagra, ‘sildenafil’, which is not approved by AEMPS for sale to the public.

Cops also seized over €2,000 in cash, as well as documents, which implement other establishments in Mallorca.
