Police in Spain rescue young man attempting to jump off Ronda bridge

????????????????????????????????????

POLICIA Nacional have rescued a young man attempting to take his own life by jumping off Ronda’s Puente Nuevo.

Officers had to act quick after noticing a car nearby with documents, a mobile phone and keys placed on the drivers seat.

They found the man at around 4.15am on January 11, looking through one of the bars which protects the balconies of the bridge on Calle Arminan.

When he saw the officers had seen him, he began immediately climbing over.

Two agents – one Policia Nacional and one Policia Local – managed to reach and grab hold of him before others arrived to assist him to safety.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital.
