A PASSENGER has been killed after a train derailed in Spain this morning.
Some 41 others were injured when a Rodalies train on the R4 line in Manresa-Sant Vicenc de Calders, Barcelona, derailed at around 6.15am.
Around 14 firefighters, 11 ambulances and police rushed to the scene to attend to the injured and evacuate the other passengers.
Only three of the injured have been transferred to the Mutua Terrassa hospital.
Some 150 people were travelling on the train when a landslide took out the last two carriages between Can Serra and Polygon Can Torrella.
Train company Rodalies tweeted that the derailment occurred at 06.15 am due to a landslide which was caused by the recent heavy rains.
