DOWNPOUR: Spain’s Costa del Sol on yellow alert for heavy rain and storms this week

YELLOW WARNING: Malaga on high alert

MALAGA has been placed on yellow alert for heavy showers and strong storms tomorrow.

An estimated 15 litres of rainfall per square metre are expected to fall every hour across the Costa del Sol and the Guadalhorce Valley.

AEMET has activated the warning to start at 8pm on Wednesday until 4am on Thursday.

Severe showers will be expected close to Malaga, while strong storms are expected towards the east end of the coast.
