A WOMAN has died on a Marbella beach.

The unnamed 71-year-old was pronounced dead on Playa del Alicate after a suspected drowning yesterday evening.

It came after a local called 112 emergency services to report an elderly woman being pulled out of the water at around 6.30pm.

Policia Nacional, EPES (Public Health Emergency Company) and the Beach Services rushed to the woman’s aid but she was pronounced dead at the scene after a failed resuscitation attempt.
