More details emerge of Irish girl, 4, who drowned in Marbella swimming pool

THE girl who drowned in a Marbella swimming pool at the weekend has been revealed as being Irish. 

The four-year-old tragically died while enjoying a family holiday on the Golden Mile.

Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is providing assistance to the family.

The tragic accident took place on Saturday at around 10.30am.

Emergency services were unable to revive the girl at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

An autopsy has not yet been carried out.

The identity of the family, who was understood to be coming to the end of a month-long holiday, has not yet been identified.
