MORE than 5,000 ‘dangerous’ toys have been seized from Palma shops, including items with a high content of boric acid, which can be poisonous.

Inspections continue as agents look for items that do not comply with EU regulations, mainly children’s toys.

Many of the illegal toys come from Asia without documents proving tariffs and taxes have been paid, and many of the toys do not have the required labels.
