A WEATHER bomb is coming to Spain.

Storm Hugo, a cyclogenesis aka bomb cyclone, will affect 80% of the country and will arrive today, AEMET has warned.

The north will be hit the most, with Hugo arriving in Galicia this afternoon before spreading throughout the mainland into Saturday.

Rain will be expected across the whole country, including the Balearics, although it will not be as intense as recent rains.

The coastline from Cadiz to Granada, including the Costa del Sol, are on yellow alert for strong winds.

The Axarquia coast, meanwhile is on orange alert.

Winds of up to 120km/hr are expected in Galicia and Cantabria.
