A BABY and its parents have been rescued in Estepona after being trapped inside a car due to high water level brought about by Storm Emma.

The car stopped at the A-7 underpass near Guadalmansa after water reached engine level.

The family, who stayed in the car until it was towed, are safe and well.

Estepona fire service say this event highlights the need for aquatic rescue equipment which they say is currently lacking.
