Earthquake shakes Andalucia hotspot in Spain

AN Andalucia hotspot was shaken by an earthquake last night.

The 3.0 magnitude quake hit Granada at around 9.22pm and may have been felt by residents as the epicentre was only 2km below ground.

Spain’s national geographic institute is asking anyone who felt a shake to report it on their website.

It comes after a wave of earthquakes in recent weeks.

Last week saw nine earthquakes in the region in just 24 hours.
