MARBELLA town hall has put out to tender a series of CCTV camera contracts.

It is hoped the 86 new cameras will dramatically cut down on crime in key areas, including Puerto Banus, La Canada shopping centre and the plaza by the A-7 in Elviria.

The total cost of this surveillance projects total 1.5 million and will take five months to finish.

The video feed will go straight to local police rather than the town hall.
