A FOUR-year-old British girl who went missing with her schizophrenic mother  has been found in Spain.

Elliana Shand disappeared with her mum Jessica Richards, aged in her mid 20s, last summer.

The news comes after High Court judge Mr Justice Hayden said last year that he was ‘very concerned indeed’ for the young girl’s safety.

He said: “In optimum circumstances, the mother’s capacity to meet her daughter’s needs was barely satisfactory.

“But, it is abundantly clear that under stress, perhaps not taking her anti-psychotic medicine, perhaps in the grip of auditory commands which are hallucinatory, she poses, despite her love for her daughter, a very real risk to her safety.”

The young girl is thought to being brought back to the UK.
