Six-month old baby chokes to death in Granada

A BABY has choked to death in Granada.

The six-month old tragically died in Baza yesterday after swallowing a plastic ball, according to Efe police and emergency services 112.

The father frantically rushed his child to a health centre but it was closed.

He ran to a pharmacy but they could not do anything to help the child.

At about 4.40pm 112 emergency services were sent to the pharmacy and the baby was taken to Hospital de Baza, but doctors could not revive it.

Policia Nacional and the Junta are awaiting for the autopsy results, but expect to declare the death accidental.
