A BRITISH pensioner has been arrested in Malaga on following an international arrest warrant.

The 75-year-old was found hiding in a country house in Alhaurin el Grande and was leading a comfortable life.

However he was wanted in the UK after absconding before serving a five-year and nine month sentence for drug trafficking.

He was picked up following a joint operation between the Guardia Civil and the UK’s National Crime Agency.

The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Instruction number 4 of the National Court in Madrid, awaiting extradition.
