Long-awaited Torremolinos shopping centre one step closer after plans finalised

intu

THE long-awaited Intu shopping centre in Torremolinos is one step closer after its plans were finalised this week.

Representatives from the British shopping developer were on the Costa del Sol this week to celebrate completing their preliminary survey work for the project.

The sprawling centre will be just north of the Palacio de Congresos and will be fenced off within weeks ahead of construction beginning.

The commercial and leisure centre will be the largest in Andalucia, with shops, restaurants and even a dry ski slope.

The centre is expected to bring 4,000 jobs into the area and an estimated €3 million in annual income.
