Police shoot Catalan independence voters with rubber bullets as ‘illegal’ referendum turns violent

Breaking news at The Olive Press

GUARDIA Civil have shot rubber bullets at voters taking part in the Catalunya independence referendum.

Tensions are rising as voters across the region are attempting to vote this morning.

It comes after Madrid claimed they had shut down the majority of the polling stations yesterday.
