A MALLORCA beach is back on high alert after a second blue shark in recent weeks was spotted by bathers.

Police patrolling the beach at Cala Major were unable to locate the shark.

It comes two weeks after an eight-foot shark sparked terror among bathers.

The injured shark, thought to have been wounded by a harpoon, died later on shore.
