SPAIN’S weather agency AEMET has released a yellow alert for strong winds and tides along the Costa del Sol.

Sol y Guadalhorce, the Axarquia and Granada are expected to be most affected.

The conditions are predicted to last until Friday.

It comes as temperatures along the coast are forecast to drop from the dizzying 40s seen over the past week.

The likes of Estepona, Marbella and Torremolinos are all expected to have temperatures around the 26C and 27C mark for the rest of the week.
