To see justice thwarted because someone hides in a church can only compound the pain. Indeed, Norwegian police told the Olive Press they would have intervened by now if Tonje Brornsen was in a non-religious building.

In 2017, it seems bizarre, not to mention wrong, that the law must defer to religion, a practice now largely abandoned by the vast majority of us.
