SPAIN’S weather agency AEMET has issued weather warnings as temperatures in Andalucia reach 40C.

Sevilla is expected to reach the 40 mark today, as is neighbouring Cordoba.

Granada will be around the 39C mark until Wednesday.

Thanks to coastal winds, temperatures along the coast are not as severe and are expected to reach into the 30s and will peak on Thursday.

People are advised to stay out of the sun between 12-2pm and to drink plenty of water.
