Huge pop-up library takes over Sevilla’s Plaza Espana

POP UP: Well-read visitors celebrate the huge library

A GIANT pop-up library took over a famed square in Sevilla.

Amazon was behind the novel idea to bring 1,000 books to the city’s Plaza Espana, which it housed on shelves stretching 20 metres.

The multinational giant created it to allow bookworms to swap books as part of celebrations of World Book Day.

Passers by were able to take a book as long as they placed one of their own on the shelves in return.

Sevilla Council held some of the most events to celebrate the day in Spain.
