THE MAJORITY of British businesses will not reduce their investment in Spain despite Brexit, according to a new poll.
A reassuring 64% of UK-based firms with Spanish interests are happy to keep the status quo, according to a study by Spanish company Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFI).
However, 30% said they would reduce investments because of the vote.
A further eight per cent stated they would increase them, when questioned.
The UK is Spain’s third largest foreign investor and in 2014 created 160,000 jobs in the country while adding €6.1m to public coffers.
Businesses said they invested in Spain due to the favourable business climate, expertise and its links to South America.
Well that’s good news for Spain but how will that affect Merkel’s rant that Trump will cancel TPP. Even if Clinton won top office she would be doing the same.
