Well, I have to say that it would appear for the “Casares”area, it would appear you have simply travelled up one road, and not diversfied at all. You mention three restaurants, Venta Garcia, The Forge, and Arroyo Hondo, and, whilst all being lovely in their own way, they are not indicative of the area. There is the fantastic Venta Cozar (on the same road), the wonderful El Trasmallo and La Verandah in Guardiaro, and many others.
Cozar is nice but too tradional as a venta to justify being in, plus we can’t have EVERY restaurant in. And thanks for the suggestions in Guadiaro. We’ll check them out.
