db z

22591159390_987d33b452_zAN app has been launched in Spain to reduce the amount of food waste produced throughout the country.

Yo no deperdicio app allows people to exchange surplus food with each other before it goes out of date.

The goal is to help curb waste from establishments that typically toss out perfectly edible food at the end of the day.

A similar app – Too good to go – has also been launched in the UK, while in the states the Food cowboy app has been set up to distribute vegetables deemed ‘too ugly’ by supermarket chains.
