Amancio Ortega’s fashion giant Inditex creates more than 2,000 jobs in Spain

ZaraFASHION giant Inditex created more than 2,000 jobs in Spain last year.

Created by billionaire Amancio Ortega and home to popular brands Zara and Massimo Dutti, the company was able to hire 11,936 people worldwide and 2,385 in Spain in 2015.

The fashion conglomerate, which has now expanded to 90 countries, netted €4.9 billion in the first quarter of 2016, a 12% rise on last year.

Laurence Dollimore

Laurence Dollimore is a Spanish-speaking, NCTJ-trained journalist with almost a decade’s worth of experience.
The London native has a BA in International Relations from the University of Leeds and and an MA in the same subject from Queen Mary University London.
