MORE than half of Spain’s energy came from renewable sources for the first five months of 2016.
A report by grid operator Red Electrica de Espana showed environmentally friendly sources accounted for 52.2% of the country’s power generation.
In May alone, 55% came from wind, nuclear, hydro and solar power.
Great accomplishment, in spite of the existing power companies efforts to strangle the industry. (helped massively by the incumbent administration)
