Casares beach awarded blue flag status

casares PLAYA ANCHACASARES Playa Ancha has become one of Spain’s 586 beaches of blue flag status.

The stamp of honour is reserved for beaches with exceptional water quality, safety, hygiene, accessibility, services, information and lifeguards.

As of June 2016, people can play and enjoy sandy Playa Ancha in the knowledge that it is one of the best beaches in the country.

“This flag fills us with pride as the town hall has worked hard to improve our beaches,” said Casares mayor Pepe Carrasco.
