A 2.7 tonne haul of hash has been seized by police after a sea-bound chase near San Roque.

The Guardia Civil’s surveillance system spotted a boat heading towards the Spanish coast from Morocco and gave chase.

After colliding with the Guardia Civil boat, the gang sped off to Borondo-Guadalquitón beach, where one of them was arrested.

The Guardia Civil uncovered 85 bales of hash during the operation.
