Ex-Guardia Civil arrested in connection with drug warehouse murder

AN ex-policeman is among two men arrested for the murder of a housekeeper at a suspected drugs warehouse.

The Guardia civil officer is one of four people now arrested over the murder of Lucia Garrido, who was found with her throat slashed at Finca Los Naranjos in Alhaurin de la Torre in 2008.

Police now believe that the Garrido was witness to illegal activities, involving a number of police officers, and was killed to stop her talking.

Two Colombian hitmen were shot dead at the finca a year after Garrido’s murder.
