FEBRUARY’S frost is set to affect 80% of early stonefruit production across Spain.

The late cold snap is also putting production of artichokes, citrus fruits and leafy vegetables at risk.

Blossoming stonefruit trees – such as cherries and plums – are said to have been very badly affected by the drop in temperature last month.
