TWO Guardia Civil officers have saved the life of an 18-month-old baby.

The officers sprung into action after being approached by a desperate mother in Villarrubia, Cordoba.

The officers then began resuscitating the baby at the roadside, who was unconscious and not breathing.

After reviving the baby, the mother and child were taken to the Reina Sofia maternity hospital in the patrol car.

They are currently staying at the hospital where the baby is said to be recovering.
