Rent prices on the rise as Spanish property market recovers

holiday rentals imageRENTERS are paying more for their digs across Spain as the countryโ€™s property market picks up.

The average price of house rentals has increased in every region apart from the Basque Country in the past 12 months.

The overall market increased by 4%, with prices in Catalunya rising the most by 11%.

Meanwhile rentals in Madrid increased 6.5% and in Andalucia 3.5%.

In the Basque Country, rented property was down 0.5% in price.
