RENTERS are paying more for their digs across Spain as the country’s property market picks up.
The average price of house rentals has increased in every region apart from the Basque Country in the past 12 months.
The overall market increased by 4%, with prices in Catalunya rising the most by 11%.
Meanwhile rentals in Madrid increased 6.5% and in Andalucia 3.5%.
In the Basque Country, rented property was down 0.5% in price.
There will be a lot less rentals when the new rental law kicks in after May.
