TWO eagles will miss out on spending Valentine’s Day in their Antequera love nest after they were captured.
A twenty-person team of environmentalists used bait and a ladder to snare the South American Harris eagles that had set up camp in a tree and ‘lightly injured’ two locals.
The birds had fled from their owners several months ago and were preparing a nest for chicks in a pine tree in Calle Ruy Lopez.
The Junta will care for the feathered friends until their owners are located.
Lightly injured – just what does that mean, better to have left them in peace.
