Auction of Manilva plot owned by property swindlers falls short of price

A PRESTIGIOUS and rare beachside development plot being auctioned off in a fire sale is a long way from reaching its asking price of €4.8m.

The land, in Manilva, was seized off disgraced company Forum Filatelico, which swindled 270,000 people in a bogus stamp investment scheme.

However, so far the 17,543 square metre plot – valued at €17 million – has only received a bid of €150,000.
