Neinor-HomesA COMPANY is hoping to become Spain’s biggest home builder by ploughing €1 billion into buying land for new homes.

Neinor Homes plans to purchase the land and build more than 8,000 homes as Spain’s property market continues to pick up.

The firm has been buying land in the Basque Country, Costa del Sol, Barcelona and Madrid.

The company, which was recently bought by American firm Lone Star Funds for €500 million, who are owned by billionaire John Grayken.
