Algeciras Jose Ignacio Landaluce

José Ignacio LandaluceTHE mayor of Algeciras has signed an agreement with a leading electrical company to improve the town’s energy efficiency.

José Ignacio Landaluce hopes to reinforce his Smart City scheme with the installation of new energy-efficient street lights by Philips Iberica

The collaboration has already brought new low-intensity street lamps to Plaza Virgen de las Lágrimas, whose mere 63 watts “produce better-quality light than before”, Landaluce said.

“This is going to improve livability, our environmental footprint and consequently our economic progress by improving the quality of life.”
