PLANS to expand Spain’s air force have been put on hold, following the crash of a military Airbus in Sevilla.

The Spanish government has postponed taking delivery of 13 A400Ms in order for them to undergo further testing.

In May, an Airbus A400M cargo plane crashed at La Rinconada, just five kilometres from Sevilla’s airport.

Analysis of the black box revealed a number of technical issues with the plane.
