Books are back in Algeciras

books-01THE old pastime of heading to the library and burying yourself in a book appears to be making a comeback in Algeciras.

The municipal library achieved record summer figures, with more than 5,300 visitors in August alone.

The provincial councillor for culture, Pilar Pintor, has called on residents to make the most of the network of local libraries, and the numerous activities they put on throughout the year.
