Where exactly that will be is still anyone’s guess.
After continual arguments over the proposed Europa Point site and failed attempts to push through planning permission to extend Victoria Park, the Gibraltar government has come up with a new alternative.
Agreed to by the Gibraltar FA, Lathbury Parade Ground is now being lined up as a potential site for a 6,000-seater, UEFA-approved stadium.
The capacity would be less than the proposed 8,000-seater ground at Europa Point.
