SPAIN’S friendly with England has been moved to Alicante.

The Spanish FA has been forced to change the venue from Madrid’s Bernabeu, after Gerard Pique was subjected to a torrent of abuse from his own fans.

The Spanish FA considered pulling the November fixture after Spanish football fans jeered defender Pique during this weekend’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovakia.

However, the FA has confirmed that the fixture will go ahead on November 13 at the Rico Perez stadium in Alicante.

Pique has been subjected to disgruntled fans ever since he made a jibe at Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo towards the end of last season.

To make matters worse, Pique again riled up Madrid fans at the European Supercup final when he was caught on camera saying: “Let’s do a victory lap, the madridistas can go f*** themselves, let them watch.”

Spain manager Vincent del Bosque has publicly backed the defender, urging Spaniards to ‘support the entire team’.
