DAVID de Gea may lose his international place if he isn’t playing at Manchester United, says Spain boss Vicente del Bosque.
The Premier League giants’ goalkeeper was due to join Real Madrid, but the deal wasn’t completed before Monday’s transfer deadline.
Louis van Gaal hasn’t picked De Gea in any of United’s six games this season and Spain renew their Euro 2016 bid on Saturday against Slovakia.
Del Bosque said: “I hope that he starts playing again and is happy, and if he plays well we can bring him along, otherwise if he doesn’t play it will be very difficult for him to come [to the Euros].”
