ICONIC 1980s band Spandau Ballet has cancelled its Marbella concert.

The event, scheduled for this Friday August 21 at the Hotel Puente Romano Tennis Club, has been called off at the last minute due to bad health.

Drummer John Keeble was taken ill, meaning the band’s Sant Feliu de Guixois, Ibiza and Marbella gigs are off the cards.

But do not fear – tickets for the Marbella performance are refundable at the original point of sale, say promoters Musiserv.

For tickets purchased over the hotline, call 664 475 590 for a refund and Ticketmaster/El Corte Ingles purchases, the same credit card will be used for the refund.

The Olive Press recently interviewed guitarist Gary Kemp about his memories of Andalucia, fatherhood and his highbrow reading choices.
