SPAIN’S tourism sector is booming. A whopping 32 million overnight stays were recorded in Spanish hotels in June – a 1.6% year-on-year increase.

And during the first half of the year, overnight stays increased by 3.3%, as Spain thrives as a tourist hotspot.
The Balearic islands have seen the biggest increase in demand, with 32% more visitors in June year-on-year, while the Canary Islands and Catalonia both saw an 18% rise in temporary room rentals.
