LA Liga’s two biggest stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are among the world’s richest sportsmen.
Real Madrid star Ronaldo (€70 million) pipped rival Messi (€62 million) to take third place on Forbes rich list.
The only two sportsmen to earn more last year were boxers Floyd Mayweather (€270 million) and Manny Pacquiao (€142 million), who earned most of their year’s money in their mega-fight in Las Vegas.
The highest ranking Spaniard is Formula One ace Fernando Alonso who comes in 17th place overall with a pay packet of €31 million.
