Record numbers of Spaniards at UK boarding schools

RECORD numbers of Spanish pupils are heading to top UK boarding schools.

An overseas recruitment drive has boosted the number of foreign students at UK boarding schools over the past five years.

Students from overseas makeup a massive 15% of all UK boarding schools’ intake.

While Spaniards account for almost 5% of that number, the Chinese are the biggest foreign presence, making up 21% of all international students.

The Independent Schools Council’s report showed that Russians (10%) and Germans (7%) are also keen on UK education.
